Condition Reports

Condition Reports

Condition reports can be specific to a timber, an elevation or an entire building. They are the culmination of many hours of work, that produces information about the buildings current condition and helps us provide you with the best possible remedial solutions.

We create reports for a number of reasons, but for the main part it may be prompted by concern over some aspect of the building.

Reports however, can influence planning and grant applications, it can form part of environmental impact assessment or provide detailed analysis for the purposes of managing, repairing or augmenting the building.

It can also help owners understand their building and make informed decisions about its future.

We offer 3 differing levels of condition reporting; Verbal, simple and detailed written reports.

Bepton

This was a combined Condition, Interpretation and Historic Significance Report. We surveyed this fragment of historic timber frame within many later additions which completely obscured the buildings origins. We created a 3D CAD drawing and prepared a report covering all objectives the purpose of which was to provide information for a planning application.

Charlwood

The owners of this small early 2 bay cottage in Charlwood were concerned about the condition of some timbers. On investigation we found that the wall-plate had in fact snapped and allowed the roof to spread. we also found that the sole plate in the outshot was seriously decayed.

Godalming

We carried out an invasive assessment of this elevation of a building in Godalming prior to the property being put on the market so that the venders could accurately describe the condition of the building to any prospective purchaser and so be confident of the asking price.
