Structural Timber repairs and replacement wattle and daub in Mayfield East Sussex
We were asked to provide advice on movement in a staircase but on examination we discovered that the soleplate and many of the posts and studs were severely decayed in this early 15c farm exterior wall.
We propped the wall, removed the concrete panel infill, decayed soleplate, repaired the posts, studs and replaced the soleplate Then filled the panels with wattle and daub, white washed all the panels.
